Our Mission

First responders face immense stress and trauma in the line of duty, The weight of critical incidents, day-to-day demands, and emotional strain can take a toll on their mental health. River of Hopes is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing relief and healing for these heroes by introducing them to the calming and rejuvenating world of fly-fishing.

Goal One

Fly-Fishing Adventures: Our team of experienced fly fishing outfitters, organize fly-fishing trips to locations around the Catskill Mountains. Participants do not need any prior fly-fishing experience or their own gear. We take care of everything, from equipment to expert guidance.

Goal Two

Standing in a serene body of water, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, participants find solace. The rhythmic casting of a fly line and the anticipation of a catch create a meditative experience. Even if no fish are brought to the net, the process itself is therapeutic.

Goal Three

River of Hopes recognizes that first responders often don’t address stress in a healthy manner. By providing these fly-fishing adventures, we contribute to their recovery from trauma. Our goal is to help them live healthier lives, not just for themselves but also for their loved ones.
