Our staff and volunteers have peer-assistance training. While we don’t conduct formal counseling sessions on the river, we’re there to listen. First responders can share their experiences without judgment or preconceived opinions. Sometimes, just talking about their emotions helps alleviate the burden, while learning how to fly fish.
Reduced Stress: Participants return from our trips with a renewed sense of calm and perspective.
Community Building: Fly-fishing outings foster connections among responders who share similar experiences.
Holistic Healing: The tranquility of nature, the thrill of the catch, and the victories in each moment contribute to overall well-being of every participant, alleviate PTSD and gives first responders the ability to keep fishing and support their future.
